Today, we come together to celebrate what unites the Hawken community over miles and years – past, present, and future.
Hawken is a special place where students can pursue their individual passions. This Day of Giving is an opportunity to come together and make an impact for the students, faculty, and programs we love.
We ask you to give today to keep bright our mission and values.
All gifts made during the Day of Giving will go toward the 2021-2022 Hawken Fund, making an immediate impact for our students.
We asked you to show the world how the Hawken community can come together, to celebrate what unites us over miles and years, and to keep bright our mission and values. You answered!
Your overwhelming response has once again made us incredibly grateful and proud to be able to say that #WeAreHawken.
For everything you have done and continue to do to support Hawken: Thank you.

WOW! A huge thank you to everyone who has participated today! We have sure felt the energy and enthusiasm around Hawken’s mission.
Tom Murphy ’89 is so inspired by the enthusiasm of the Hawken community that he has offered a super bonus challenge. If we reach a stretch goal of 1,150 donors by midnight, he will give $25,000.
It’s not too late to give. Who will be inspired next?

Is this your first year as a member of Hawken’s faculty or staff?
Today, an anonymous colleague is giving $5 for every gift from new employees.

"This is my 10th year working at Hawken. When we say “We Are Hawken,” that includes employees like you and me. I believe in the mission of Hawken School and I know we have an impact on the students we serve. Today, I’m matching $5 for every new employee who participates in the Hawken Fund. I hope you’ll join me in giving!"

An anonymous donor from the class of 2001 is giving $100 for every donor spanning the years 2001 to 2021!

"As an alum and as parents, we support Hawken because not only is it an outstanding school academically, but also because of the values that have set the school apart throughout its history. Our children are learning the same values of respect for others and openness to new ideas that shaped my Hawken education. With your support, the school will be able to empower more young minds with both sharp intellectual skills and these important values."

"Our family is now in its fourth generation at Hawken. We have seen, over nearly 90 years, the powerful impact the School and its faculty have had on members of our family. The School motto of “each generation introducing its successor to a higher plane of life” resonates with us and we hope you as well. Let’s do this…let’s introduce the current generation of students to a higher plane of life."

"I am pleased to participate in Hawken's first Day of Giving by offering this $25,000 challenge. Hawken played an important role in building a foundation that would serve me throughout my life. Now, decades later and with grandchildren at the School, I am watching as the faculty continue to mold students into leaders of the future. It's important that the Hawken community to do its part. Parents, grandparents, and alumni…won't you join me today? Go Hawks!"

Thank you to the many members of our community who made a commitment to the 2021-2022 Hawken Fund before the Day of Giving. Gifts and pledges made early in the year help Hawken make thoughtful decisions about the budget. An honor roll of the 2021-2022 Hawken Fund’s earliest donors can be found here.
